Ready to cactus you at carnival
1 min read

DOZENS of cacti have been potted by residents at Inglewood and Districts Health Service ready for sale on the bazaar stalls at the 152nd Rheola Charity Carnival.
Residents, leisure staff and Wedderburn College student Emily Canham spent Saturday afternoon putting the tiny succulents into old tea cups for the big day at Rheola on Easter Monday. Emily is this year participating in the school’s Duke of Edinburgh program.
Charity carnival president Matt Catto said the bazaar stalls were among the traditional highlights of Easter Monday in Rheola.
“The stalls run by our volunteers are part of the true country fabric that continues to bring our community together and attract thousands of people to what is the shire’s biggest annual event,” he said.
The carnival will again raise funds for the IDHS, Maryborough Health’s Dunolly campus and Rheola’s recreation reserve and hall committees.
